Japanese Catering for Celebrations, Corporate Functions and Major Events.
Established in 2008, Gyoza Records was the first authentic Japanese izakaya-style event catering business in Australia. The business was created with the aim of bringing premium, restaurant quality food and memorable experiences to event patrons Australia-wide.
The Gyoza Records concept was originally based on a record shop in Shinjuku, Tokyo. However, rather than selling records, we'd spin tunes and and sell perfectly crisp gyoza, Tokyo Fried Chicken and other seasonal Japanese food.
Since 2015 we have been operating at major events Australia wide. After never-ending requests from our patrons, we have now expanded to providing specialised catering services for corporate functions, birthdays, weddings and any other special events.
A key to our success has always been our striking, perpetually evolving aesthetic and obsessively improving and perfecting our dishes. Our recipes have been developed by our executive chef, Atsushi Kawakami. Atsushi is a hatted Japanese chef, currently working as head-chef at Future Future, Richmond (Victoria).
